Morwen Williams is a multi-instrumentalist folk musician and singer who grew up around folk music and folk dancing. From the age of twelve, she played fiddle regularly for numerous morris and folk dancing sides and whilst at university in Exeter, she was a member of Pigasus, Pigs Might Fly and Back to Square One ceilidh dance bands. Since returning to Cardiff, she has played and sung with the traditional Irish band Hairpin Bend, and has co-created two shows with her sister, storyteller Tamar Eluned Williams.

Bringing together inspiration from the variety shows of the Victorian music halls and the performance of contemporary spoken word, interweaving storytelling and original song, Not Maid, Nor Widow, Nor Wife gives the lost women of the murder ballads a chance to tell their own stories.
