Bevin Magama is a performance storyteller and author who grew up with grandparents in rural Zimbabwe. Through living with grandparents he learnt to tell stories at a very early age. Bevin is a regular storyteller in Cardiff storytelling. He has been involved in the Arts Council of Wales’s Lead Creative Schools program over the years, using his creativity to devise and deliver storytelling workshops in line with school’s curriculum. He has performed at a number of storytelling festivals including Sting in the Tale (Dorset), Platforma (Newcastle), Johannesburg International Storytelling Festival (South Africa), Nozincwadi International Book and Storytelling Festival (Durban, South Africa), and Harare International Festival of the Arts HIFA (Harare, Zimbabwe) among many others. He is a winner of the Nation of Sanctuary Arts Award 2019.

Among the books he has published are Vicious, Dreaming All Things Great, Gross Misconduct, One Dead Zimbo Walking, and Harare Is Sick.
