We’ve teamed up with Festival Interculturel du conte de Montréal in Canada to create digital ways of sharing stories from Ivan Coyote in their Cabin in remotest part of the Yukon.
Ivan Coyote is an award winning writer, storyteller and performer, born in the Yukon, in Northern Canada and an audience favourite at music, poetry, spoken word and writers’ festivals all over the world. They were scheduled to make their first visit to Beyond the Border in 2020.
Given the ongoing travel restrictions ahead of BTB 2021, Ivan elected to make us a short film made in the Yukon while they were on a summer visit, under the midnight sun, which we will screen followed by a live chat with Tamar Eluned Williams and an audience on Zoom.
8pm: Ivan Coyote film screening
8.45pm: Live zoom conversation between Ivan Coyote and Tamar Eluned Williams
9.15pm: Story Snug – audience chat with each other and celebrate the end of the festival
Please note: the live element of the show (the Zoom conversation) is at 8.45pm on 10 July. The film can be watched on demand until 15 July.
