We’ve teamed up with National Eisteddfod’s famous Tŷ Gwerin to bring a brand new Welsh language interactive experience this March – the Stomp Stori – a storytelling extravaganza, where you, the audience, get to choose the worthy winner at the end of a hard-fought competition!
We’ll have a mix of storytellers, some experienced and well known faces, and others who may be getting involved for the first time – an eclectic and exciting line-up of people, representing the voices of Wales today.
Wales’ heritage is based on the Storyteller’s talents over the centuries, and this kept our literature alive, with stories passed from generation to generation, developing and evolving over the years as the Welsh ‘Cyfarwydd’ (storyteller) travelled across Wales looking for an audience to entertain.
These short 5 minute stories are ideal for Welsh learners as well as fluent speakers.
How does it work?
We’ll have three rounds of stories, each with three competitors spinning a yarn for up to five minutes. Each round will have its own theme, with a happy or funny story, sad story and a musical ballads round. At the end of each round, you the audience will vote for your favourite and the winner will go on to the final round.
These short 5 minutes stories will be easy to follow and suitable for Welsh learners – we’ll also have some materials for learners available before hand, so remember to let us know if you’re learning Welsh when you register to attend.
How can I book my place?
It’s easy. All you need to do is book on EventBrite. You only need one ticket per household/screen. You will be sent the link a few hours before the event via Eventbrite.
