Sandra Bendelow is Festival Manager at Beyond the Border International Storytelling Festival. She was part of the team that produced Reimagine Beyond the Border festival Online in July 2020 and is currently leading several projects for Beyond the Border Exploring the Use of Technology platforms and tools for storytelling. She is also a scriptwriter and teaches scriptwriting for Aberystwyth University Lifelong Learning.
In the simplest terms her job is to make the festival happen at our lovely new home at NT Dinefwr. It is her role to bring together all the many different aspects that go into the operational side of the festival – bringing together the many brilliant and highly trained companies, freelancers and organisations to do what they do really well.
Also part of making the festival happen is about finding the funding and creating income and managing the budget.
During a non-festival year her job is about managing projects that work around the festival, supporting storytellers and storytelling in Wales and working with communities in Wales.
