Tamar Eluned Williams

Local Engagement Co-ordinator

Tamar’s work for Beyond the Border includes developing and delivering workshops and creative projects, working with schools, seeking funding for new ideas, and finding strategies to root the festival deeply within the heritage of Wales, and its local community in Carmarthenshire. She is a bilingual Welsh speaker and is passionate about developing the festival’s Welsh language performance work, as well as supporting emerging voices in storytelling, and developing networks among storytellers across Wales and the world.

Tamar is also an award-winning storyteller and works with schools, museums, theatres, and arts organisations as a freelance artist. She mostly works with Welsh myths and legends, performing stories in Welsh and English. She is a panel member for Chwedl, the Welsh women’s storytelling network, and runs a regular storytelling night in Bristol, STORYPUB.
