Deb Winter runs Fishguard Storytelling and is one of the Associate Cyfarwyddion in partnership with People Speak Up and Mycelium Storytelling Hub.  Her deep interest in communication and connection with others feeds into her storytelling skills, improvisation and creative writing workshops as she supports people to become confident in their own voices.  In the last few years Deb has also discovered the joy of working with improvising musicians to create atmosphere, and magical transformations as they weave words and sounds together into a collective spell.

Deb Winter and Ailsa Mair Fox will be presenting their Esyllt Harker Commission – an award they jointly won in 2021.

The prize was awarded by Chwedl and celebrates the talent and contribution of established or emerging women storytellers in Wales. We can’t wait to see what these incredible storytellers have created together.

Deborah is also one of our Mycelium Storytelling Hub Contemporary Cyfarwyddion along with Jo Munton and Mair Tomos Ifans, who will be sharing story morsels gathered from their year-long residencies across Wales.
