GAVANI is a brand new UK band led by British-Indian vocalist Deepa Shakthi and Celtic guitarist Dylan Fowler with two exciting young musicians Alex Lyon on Clarinet and Jonno Gaze on Percussion. The band’s repertoire ranges from traditional folk and classical tunes from both Indian and Western traditions to original material comprising an eclectic mix of styles and influences predominantly Celtic and Indian. Gavani made a triumphant debut in the autumn of 2022 at the St James Piccadilly music festival in London and is set to take their music to festivals across the UK in the coming months.
