Siân Miriam

Artist - Siân Miriam

With Ynyr Pritchard on Viola.
Gwobr Esyllt Harker commission performance

Siân is a freelance performer and community arts practitioner. Growing up on Anglesey, Siân was always surrounded by stories and local legends rooted in the North Wales island. She now draws on these in her performances, telling bold truths and sharing her passion for preserving the natural world.

Her new commission, Coed sy’n Siarad / Trees They Talk is about the importance of our roots and the trees surrounding us. A bilingual piece of storytelling interwoven with music. At its heart, lies an exploration of trees, of the ground, and the community beneath our feet
Siân is also a singer/songwriter who has recently created an acoustic music project called
Tagaradr duo; and while studying in Goldsmiths she had the opportunity to perform with a string Quartet, which inspired her to work with a young Welsh viola player Ynyr Pritchard who joins her for this performance.
